Kanaky\/New Caledonia Melanesian solidarity for West Papua day tomorrow

Following rallies in every Melanesian country supporting West Papua joining the Melanesian Spearhead Group, the people of Kanaky\/New Caledonia will be holding a solidarity day for West Papua tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span>
\nWe would like to thank all brothers and sisters in Kanaky\/New Caledonia or this support as well as all supporters in Melanesia and around the world.<\/p>\n

Here is the solidarity call in French with an English translation below<\/p>\n

Prochainement le GFLM devra se prononcer sur l’adh\u00e9sion ou non de WEST PAPUA en son sein.
\nDepuis plus de 50 ans nos fr\u00e8res Papous pleurent car l’imp\u00e9rialisme indon\u00e9sien est responsable d’un v\u00e9ritable G\u00e9nocide :les chiffres variant entre plus de 100 000 morts \u00e0 plus de 1 millions de morts.
\nNous devons, comme d’autres sur Fidji, Salomons, Vanuatu, PNG, exprimer \u00e0 travers des actions notre soutien \u00e0 l’adh\u00e9sion de West Papua au niveau du GFLM.
\nLa communaut\u00e9 internationale doit voir que les pays m\u00e9lan\u00e9siens, les pays du pacifique sont solidaires de la Revendication l\u00e9gitime du peuple West Papouan.
\nLe 16 mai sur cet espace ,postez une photo, ou une vid\u00e9o de vous, d’un groupe exprimant par des mots, un chant, une danse , une affiche, la solidarit\u00e9 avec la lutte des fr\u00e8res de west papua. Papua MERDEKA!!

Soon the MSG will have to decide on membership or not of WEST PAPUA.
\nFor over 50 years our Papuan brothers cry because Indonesian imperialism is responsible for a veritable genocide: the figures varying between more than 100 000 deaths to more than 1 million deaths.
\nWe must, as others like Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, PNG, express through actions our support for the accession of West Papua at the MSG.
\nThe international community must see that the Melanesian countries, the countries of the Pacific are integral with the legitimate claim of the West Papuan people.
