{"id":1111,"date":"2015-06-10T20:49:53","date_gmt":"2015-06-10T20:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infopapua.org\/?p=1111"},"modified":"2015-06-10T20:50:32","modified_gmt":"2015-06-10T20:50:32","slug":"we-cannot-continue-deny-west-papuas-rights-to-m-s-g-manuari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infopapua.org\/?p=1111","title":{"rendered":"We cannot continue deny West Papua&#8217;s rights to M.S.G: Manuari"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Member of Parliament for West Makira, Honourable Derek Manuari says we\u00a0cannot continue to deny the rights of the people of West Papua to join\u00a0the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG).<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with SIBC News today, Mr Manuari says it is time for\u00a0leaders in the Melanesian Spearhead Group to take a firm action to allow West Papua into the MSG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to call on our leaders, the Foreign Affairs Minister and the Prime Minister and other Melanesian country leaders; that we cannot continue to deny the rights of the West Papuan people and it is time that we take a stern or firm action on this or else we\u2019ll have blood on our hands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He adds\u00a0West Papua\u2019s application to join the MSG has been submitted several times already, adding, this year is special because Solomon Islands is hosting the MSG Leaders summit in Honiara this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWest Papua\u2019s application to be a member of the MSG I think have been submitted a few times in the past, but this year it is quite special and important because Solomon Island is hosting the Melanesian Spearhead Group Summit this year, so that is why the Solomon Islands Solidarity for West Papua Freedom group in Solomon Islands, of which I am part, strongly ask the government to listen to the concerns of the ordinary Solomon Islanders who I think have overwhelmingly supporting the inclusion of West Papua into the MSG.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sibconline.com.sb\/we-cannot-continue-deny-west-papuans-rights-to-m-s-g-manuari\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.infopapua.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/The-Free-West-Papua-Movement-supporters-420x282.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Source: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sibconline.com.sb\/we-cannot-continue-deny-west-papuans-rights-to-m-s-g-manuari\/\">WE CANNOT CONTINUE DENY WEST PAPUA\u2019S RIGHTS TO M.S.G: MANUARI | SIBC<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Member of Parliament for West Makira, Honourable Derek Manuari says we\u00a0cannot continue to deny the rights of the people of West Papua to join\u00a0the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG).
