Security officers Indonesian Conducting operation in Mentembu Villages,
Suspected as a being base for the OPM movement

Serui July 12, 2009. RI security apparatus (consisting dair TNI troops and police) in the community suspect Yapen WAROPEN regency in Mentembu villages Organization is the basis for movement Papua Merdeka (OPM), so that at 11:00 yesterday, 11 July 2009 Indonesian security apparatus to do this operation around the village. Security officer shot this release for those who are suspected as the OPM in the village of Mentambu. Due to the presence of the security apparatus in villages makes a number of people in the village to fight against the military and police forces.

TNI troops and police arrested and hold a number of people in the village including the school children who had just come home schools. A number of houses owned by residents in the fuel by the security apparatus.

The Indonesian security apparatus using the momentum to attack the security PILPRES village, this village operation not only occur at the time but this also happens during the legislative elections, with the same reason, namely the security of legislative elections, so that the security apparatus to conduct operation village.

Due to this incident the people in Mentembu villages sense of fear and some have fled from the village to seek safety. Until this news was revealed in villages conditions that have not been known by various parties. Society Serui situation in society is difficult to access by some parties, so that almost every event against the repressive local people to access very difficult to know.

Here is the people arrested by the police Yapen WAROPEN among others:

Mr. Polikarpus Ambokari (37 years, Farmer), Hans Mandoman Ambokari (40 years old, farmer), to own two houses in the fuel burn by aparat.Priliati Uruwaya (26 years, NGOs) and Niko Kamare (17 years) of junior high school students grade 3, Ari Ambokari (17 years) of junior high school students, Carles kafiar (15 years) grade 3 of junior high school students, and Ambokari Akon (13 years), grade 1 of junior high school students, children, school is just home school, but these children are arrested by the police (Yapen WAROPEN)
